Projects listed here can be scheduled for groups of children or adults. Adult pricing is per person and listed with class desription below. For group pricing for children's parties, or for family groups, click on Groups and Parties or Family Tabs. Adult classes that are scheduled can be found under the Adult tab. Any Adult class under Adult tab can be scheduled for your group.

1st -8th grade: go to Groups or Family tabs for pricing
Adults and Teens: $15 each, you supply item to paint or tie-dye.
Bring in a T-shirt, hat, or shoes. Discuss basic color and design ideas and then create unique wearable art using paint, student made stamps, fiber, beads, and other materials. Older students will be able to design and make stamps and other tools for printing their own unique design. This can also be a tie-die class.
Mini Animal Sculptures in clay
pre-K-8th: go to Groups or Family Tabs for pricing
Adults and Teens: $40
This a 2 day class. Day one (60 minutes): students discuss attributes and sketch a favorite animal. Following a brief demo, students create favorite animals in clay. Day two (30-40 minutes): Students apply underglaze colors to add detail and color. Animals will be fired and ready to pick up about two weeks after the class. To make this a one day project: Projects can be fired then painted at home with tempera or acyrlic paints.

Adults and Teens: $30 for one day, $40 for 2 days
Clay mask: requires two 1 hr. sessions
Poster board based mask: requires one 1 hr. session
Explore masks from other cultures as inspiration for your own creations. Masks can be made from poster board, plaster, clay, fabric, etc. depending on age and intended use of mask. A variety of craft materials such as feathers, beads, fiber, shells, etc. will be available or enhance your mask. Masks are generally intended to be decorative. If you plan to wear you mask as part of a costume, please let instructor know when registering.
Banner or Flag
K-6th grades: click on Groups of Family tabs for pricing
Students will watch a demo about mixing colors, brush techniques, then draw a sketch for their banner. Students can create their own design, such as favorite animal or bug. Students will then paint their design on cloth using acrylic paints.
You’re the Illustrator
Grades K-6: click on Group or Family tabs for Pricing
How would you illustrate your favorite story? What would you make your favorite character look like? Students will draw illustrations for a favorite story using colored pencils, oil pastels, cut paper, and other craft materials.
Polymer Clay Beads or Medallion
Grades 2nd-6th: Click on Group of Family tab for pricing
Students will watch a demo about layering colors, marbleizing colors, and shaping beads. Students will then design and create their own beads or medallion. NOTE: beads need to be baked in an oven and will be available for pick up about one week after class. Pet, Toy, or Doll Portraits Grades 1-6: $12.00 Bring in a photo of your pet, favorite animal, a favorite doll or toy and create a portrait. Students will have assistance in sketching, composing portrait, mixing color, and painting techniques. Older students may need an additional session, discuss with instructor when registering. (on canvas, add $3.00)
Self Portraits with Collage "stuff"
Pre-K - 8th
Adults and Teens $20
Create a unique self-portrait with collage materials. Bring personal items to add to the variety of collage items available in the studio and create a unique self-portrait. Students will draw initial image, then use paint and collage items to embellish the image. students will have access to a variety of papers, fibers, beads, wire, etc. Items and images can be added to the background to further personalize the self-portrait as time permits.
Journals or Altered Books, introduction class (1 - 1 1/2 hr.)
4th-8th grade: click Group or Family tab for pricing
Adults : $20
Bring in an old hard back book or blank journal plus photos, and small items such a ticket stubs, magazine pics, charms, favorite song lyrics, quotes and poems, and other memorabilia. Students will create a unique book reflecting their personal history and interests. This is an introduction that will include demos for various techniques to use paint and collage to create unique personalized art journals. Books will not be completed in one class, but students can continue to work on books on their own. This class can also be repeated to try additional and more complex pages. Please Note: The book used as a base will NOT be readable after it is altered and should not be a useable or valuable book! The binding and cover should be in fairly good shape to support the alterations that students will make to the book.
Seasonal Pastel Drawings

Discuss seasonal subject matter such as winter trees, spring rain, summer gardens, etc. and watch brief demo. Students use quality pastels and have several pastel papers to choose from. Color blending, composition, texture techniques will be discussed as needed.
Sculpture or Mobiles
1st -8th grade: click on Group or Family tabs for pricing
Adults and Teens $25
Students will be introduced to mobiles and sculptures. After sketching their ideas students can choose from a variety of materials for their art work such as wire, found objects, tin, acetate, and other materials. Subject matter is student's choice, such as animals, insects or abstract.

Adults and Teens $30
Summer Sunflowers: Inspired by Van Gogh’s series of sunflower paintings, students will sketch and paint their own sunflower still life. Students will be encouraged to select additional props to add to the still life arrangement.
Fused Glass Pendant
Ages 16 and up. $30 (groups rates do not apply to this class)
(Ages 12-15 when accompanied by an adult)
Class meets for 1 1/2 hour
Brief demo on cutting glass and ideas for pendant designs. You choose from wide variety of glass, including dichroic glass, and cut and arrange into your own unique creative design. Your pendant will be fused and ready to pick up 7-10 days after the class. Price includes materials for one fused glass pendant plus a ribbon/cord and clasp. Additional fused glass pendants can be made for $15 each during class as time permits.
